Summer Has Departed

This summer seemed to pass in a blur.  We didn't take any wild vacations, heck we didn't even visit the local lake.  We didn't take any family drives or visit any towns festivals.  
Needless to say, another season is coming to an end and a new one is beginning.
What did we do this summer?  Well, two of the kids played sports and Dad coached one of them

This of course kept us very busy, with 2 games a week for baseball and 2 games a week for volleyball.

We gardened and built a retaining wall (which is still work in progress).

And we swam in our pool.

This year the big blue beast went on the opposite side of the yard.  We had a much better year with a lot less up keep.  Unsure if it will be water worthy next summer, but we have enjoyed the time in it.


I am sad to see summer leave but look forward to the next season with anticipation for all that God has in store for our family.
